A glamorous end to this weekend where24 participants from all over the country were put up on one stage andbattled it out to win the “Face of Nepal” which was held at HotelShangri-la.The winners of Face of Nepal 2016 pageant are: Alka Rai, Ritesh Gurung, Paramita Rana, Bhaskar Baniya.Thewinners have not only won the title but will also represent Nepal forthe Asia New star Model Contest 2016 at the ASIA MODEL FESTIVAL 2016,Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, South Korea on 19th May 2016. Firstseason of Face of Nepal turned out to be a grand success and was widelyappreciated with Grand stage, breathtaking backdrops and awesome musicas a cultural exchange.Badal Saboo – Chairman, Face of Nepal,leading fashion designer Nivedita Saboo, CEO Mr. Justin Lee from KoreaModel Association and leading photographer Kishor Kayastha were a partof the jury for this event.The commencement of theevent was done by welcoming the guests, which was followed by a culturalintegration with Kumari and Lakhe Dance performances along with a flute recital by the artists. The auditions took place at Hotel Shangri-lawhere 12 male and 12 female models were selected out of the many entriesthat Face of Nepal had received.Yashita Dewan and Fashion store brand Karuna showcasedtheir stunning fashion collection at the event.KoreaModel Association is an affiliate of Ministry of Culture & Tourism,Republic of South Korea, and a non-profit organization established in1976 for the purpose of promotion and protection of Models’ rights &interest and related business. There are twenty five participatingcountries namely: Mongolia, Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar,Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, China, Hong-Kong,Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Nepal, Sri Lanka etc. KMAhas been organizing this for the past 10 years. BadalSaboo – Chairman, Face of Nepal adds “It is unquestionably an immensejoy to see top Nepali models at this global stage. Through this pageantwe have tried to help the imminent talent and hope Nepal bags the titlethere!” This pageant has surely brought the best of opportunities for aspiring models from all over the country. Unlike other pageants thisdoesn’t end for the winners here. They get to go meet different people from the same fraternity, experience their culture, their ways and get abundance of exposure. This is the First time that Nepal is participating in the Asia New Star Model Contest, the largest and most prestigious platforms in Asia’s fashion fraternity.
