Laos are ranked 176th in the World FIFA ranking,just four position ahead of Nepal. The South East Asian Nation is yet to make their Entrance on the International competition as their tournament has been condemned to South East Asian Cup and Tigers Cup. Laos were unable to put their show on 2015 as they lose most of the friendly matches during the year. They lost 8 International friendlies and settled draw on two International matches against Cambodia and Myanmar during the year 2015. Recently,Laos were granted 3-0 win against Kuwait after the suspension of Kuwait Football Association in a fixture of 2018 FIFA world Cup Qualification.Coach Vacant will Lead Laos side against Nepal friendly.
Nepal are ranked 180th at current FIFA ranking. The Introduction of year 2016 has been good so far for Nepal side as they were crowned Champion of Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2016 and Champion of 2016 South Asian Games. There are only two changes with the squad as Anil Gurung replaces Bimal Gharti Magar who is currently in Belgium for Knee Treatment and Rajendra Rawal makes debut for the National side.
