Chargé d'affaires at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia Ananda Prasad Sharma said that the women were rescued and sent back home on Friday by making travel documents and meeting all the legal processes with supports from the officials of the Immigration Department of Saudi Arabia.
Sharma said that Rita Devi Magar from Dandabari-3 in Jhapa, Jhabi Rana from Kharbang-7 in Baglung, Mina BK of Gulariya-7 in Bardiya, Mayadevi Rajdhami of Babiyabirta-7 in Morang, Jamuna Roka of Okharbot-9 in Pyuthan, Parbati Thapa of Triveni-2 in Nawalparasi and Janaki Lama of Bethan-5 in Ramechhap district were rescued and sent back home.
It is learnt that the women were kept in Kuwait for some time as the domestic helps and then were taken in Saudi Arabia in tourist visa. RSS
