What type of food should a kidney patient eat?
People with kidney disease should be careful on their diets as well as medicine. Kidney patient should maintain their health condition, height, weight and their daily life style. You need to stay away from contamination to keep your kidney healthy. Similarly you need to keep balanced the sodium, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and water level in your body.

You shouldn’t eat the food with high protein because it gives the load to the kidney, you can eat the protein as prescribed like fish, meat , egg, curd can be eaten.
You should eat the food that provides energy on limits. Less protein but nutritious foods like glucose, honey, oily food, sago etc on the limits. Similarly people with high blood pressure should include the sugar level as nil. You need to drink the water according to the amount of urine.
If the level of potassium is increased on the body you need to eat the food with less potassium and you need to be careful and eat food that contains less phosphorus. You need to keep in mind that eating same kind of food you might lose the interest on eating foods.
You can eat the food like fry rice, oily chapati or you can modify the food that you can make for rice or barley. Instead of normal milk you can eat curd, and other foods that is made of milk. Instead of boiled egg you can eat fried egg, egg curry, egg soup etc. If you are fed off with meat, egg and milk you can eat fish, pulse, beans according to prescription. Sago, custard, corn flour can be eaten to change the taste.
